Daraneisha Stewart is a passionate advocate, entrepreneur, and community leader from Hazlehurst, Mississippi. At 25 years old, she has transformed personal adversity into a powerful platform for change. Following a life-altering automobile accident in October 2021 that resulted in her becoming a wheelchair user, Daraneisha chose to use her experience to inspire, educate, and empower others.
As the founder of Our Voices Matter, The Ready Experience, and the Elevation United Foundation, Daraneisha is dedicated to raising awareness about spinal cord injuries, promoting inclusion, and creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities to thrive. Through advocacy, storytelling, mentorship, and digital engagement, she works to ensure that every voice is heard and valued.
A proud college graduate with two degrees, Daraneisha combines her education, resilience, and determination to make a meaningful impact in her community and beyond. Her mission is rooted in encouraging others to overcome obstacles, embrace their purpose, and recognize their limitless potential.
When she is not advocating for disability awareness and empowerment, Daraneisha enjoys watching movies, exploring new foods, and spending quality time with her family. Her journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, faith, and the belief that challenges can become opportunities to uplift and inspire others.
Platform
Mental Health is accessible, and every voice is seen, heard, and supported.
Mental health awareness creates safe and supportive spaces for both disabled and non-disabled communities to share, heal, and grow. Through Our Voices Matter, social media outreach, and public speaking, individuals with disabilities will be empowered to prioritize their mental well-being, break stigmas, and practice self-advocacy. Through education, storytelling, and community engagement, we help people feel seen, heard, and understood. By highlighting the connection between mental health, resilience, and everyday life, this platform encourages individuals to seek support, celebrate progress, and cultivate strength, hope, and empowerment.
